[Intro] DKDB Nashville

Hello friends, it's your buddy Lou Pickney with you here.

It's the DKDB update June 30th, 2026.

The DKDB is my expert curated 2027 NFL mock draft database.

I put the best of the best in here.

But it is June as of this recording.

And so these are some way too early mock drafts that if nothing else at least give you a lay of the land who some of the top prospects are, the top players at major positions, and what is looking to be an absolutely loaded draft.

Actually quarterback.

Bunch of options in there in the DKDB.

Normally I don't have the artwork ready to go for my YouTube video when I'm doing the recording, but in this case I do with the quarterbacks.

I'll be creative with the artwork.

Arch Manning of Texas kind of front and center.

I wanted to have the purple suit man, a character that's roughly based on me at age 39.

It's kind of a boring image just having a conversation with Dante Moore.

It didn't really look like Dante Moore and LaNorris Sellers at a shopping mall.

Okay, we'll put that one up in a small corner spot.

Got CJ Carr from Notre Dame, Jayden Maiava USC, Julian Sayin Ohio State.

What I'm really excited about is Warsaken and they've got this special box set.

Genesis of Conflict Collector's Set.

This is the perfect gift if you've got a hard to buy for maybe your older relative older men in particular that think that nothing good has come out since 2014.

And maybe in some cases they have a point.

But with Warsaken, this is one of the most fun games I've played in a really long time.

And this is a high-end gift right here.

This box set.

Let me show you what's inside.

Look at this.

Go far with it on the scroll.

You got the complete cards you need to play the game.

So you can play solo up to four players.

Age 14 plus to play.

It's a nice high-end gift.

So if you know somebody that's hard to buy for, keep this in mind at the very least.

Bookmark it.

I'll have the link in the description of this video.

You're going to see me promoting this a lot.

I'm very excited about Warsaken and with the future holds.

This is a very nice gift that I think anyone who's a fan of strategy games like chess, maybe a an uncle that's hard to buy for that has everything, doesn't want anything.

Well, here's something they'll like.

Warsaken.

It's on sale right now.

It normally runs $300 USD.

It's a high-end item.

Highly recommended.

Hate to start on a down note, but really I couldn't do this video until the future was decided for quarterback Brendan Sorsby.

He was set to play for Texas Tech this season.

But he got in trouble, some serious trouble over gambling.

Any NCAA athletes watching this video, stay away from gambling.

It's not worth it.

And Brendan Sorsby has got to pay a price.

He's not playing college football.

The CFL said no.

The NFL said no, we're not going to have a supplemental draft.

He's got to take his medicine, not play this season.

It's difficult.

Gambling is that it freaks people out and understandably so.

So, we'll see what the future holds for Brendan Sorsby.

It was going to be a major fight.

It would have given ammunition for people that wanted to see legislation go through Congress.

But, I think it would actually be detrimental for student athletes.

But, they didn't ask me.

But, be that as it may.

A loaded class at quarterback.

With Sorsby again, we'll see what happens.

But, someone with a gambling addiction is not somebody that's going to necessarily be a good fit in an NFL locker room.

Put it like that.

Let's talk on more positive notes.

Arch Manning, Texas.

Right now, he's in the number one spot in my current mock draft for 2027 that I've got on the DKDB.

That's based on potential.

That's based on what is believed will happen this upcoming season for Arch Manning.

Last year, 26 touchdowns, only seven interceptions.

The big question, accuracy.

61.4% accuracy puts him below most of the top-tier candidates.

So, that's the thing he's got to show that accurate arm.

It's not like he made poor decisions, but just seven interceptions total, but that's with the anticipation.

It's not going to be just handed over to him.

Obviously, his family has a long history of success in the NFL.

And quarterback need You see how some of these teams have lined up multiple draft picks for this upcoming draft.

That's not by chance.

Why do you think the Jets have three first-round picks?

But, if Arch Manning can prove it on the field, then certainly he's got the the family name to go with it.

Dante Moore quarterback Oregon would have likely been the number two overall pick in the draft whether to the Jets or another team had he gone pro after last season.

Made the decision to stay at Oregon.

It felt to me so obvious that I took him off my draft board in November last year.

I caught some flak over that.

I was proven right on that just like I was proven right on LaNorris Sellers.

We'll get to him in a minute.

But it's not a mock will they go pro will they stay it's a mock draft so usually the assumption is made that a player would go pro if he could.

But NIL has changed things a lot.

As for Dante Moore, I mean he had a great season.

Nearly a 72% completion rate, 30 touchdowns against 10 interceptions.

He's expected to be right up there near the top as far as the quarterback class goes.

Julian Sayin quarterback Ohio State - 32 touchdowns, eight interceptions, 77% completion rate.

That is exceptional.

So we'll see what Sayin and the Buckeyes can do this year in Columbus.

But if he has a good season, I could easily see Sayin as a top five pick even in this loaded quarterback class.

He's got that kind of potential.

When you can throw for 77% completions you're going to get a lot of looks.

Darian Mensah quarterback Miami started at Tulane, transferred to Duke.

You go to the DKDB, look at the profiles you'll see Darian Mensah.

Here, I'll scroll down and show you.

Training session with Cam Ward that took place at Montgomery Bell Academy in Nashville last year.

And I'm not I can't play here because of copyright reasons.

But Spirit in the Sky.

God, there's really cool music to go with the video.

It's funny how some of the hit songs from the '70s are still popular today.

The classics hold up.

As for Mensah, Miami has been in modern times here a finishing school for exceptional quarterback prospects.

So that Cam Ward, Carson Beck had a great year last season, got Miami to the championship game.

So we'll see what the future holds for Darian Mensah.

Duke really wanted to keep him there for this upcoming season.

It's difficult, though.

You got multi-year NIL deals all you want, but they're not employees.

So it gets complicated.

CJ Carr, quarterback Notre Dame.

Only threw six interceptions all last year with a 66% completion.

As that goes, it actually wouldn't surprise me if Carr stuck around for the 2027 NCAA season as well.

We'll see what he decides to do.

It's It's unique for everybody.

This process.

He's got some options, though.

Drew Mestemaker, quarterback for Oklahoma State.

Transfer from North Texas.

34 interceptions or 34 touchdowns, only nine interceptions, almost 69% completion rate.

So Oklahoma State's been trying to get things in the NIL era going post-Mike Gundy.

The old ways had to change.

And so we'll see if Mestemaker can get some victories for Oklahoma State this upcoming season.

LaNorris Sellers, quarterback South Carolina, could have possibly been a first-round pick in the 2026 draft, but he seemed very adamant about wanting to stay at South Carolina, as I noted before.

And it was more of a talking point with Dante Moore, but I also had pulled Noah Sellers from my mock in November of last year.

There was too many signs that those guys were going to stay.

Unfortunately, that may be an outlier compared to like nearly everybody else, so nevertheless, I was proven right.

As for Sellers, he's got great physical tools.

We'll see what he has lined up for South Carolina this season.

Only had 13 touchdowns and interceptions last year.

The numbers were down compared with the 2025 season, but perhaps a chance to bounce back for Sellers with the Gamecocks in 2026.

Trinidad Chambliss, quarterback Ole Miss.

It took a court injunction against the NCAA to get Chambliss another year.

It appears the NCAA is going to go with you get 5 years in a 5-year window and that's it and kind of getting rid of the whole redshirt, which got to be complicated and you throw in the pandemic and you get some of these guys that are a lot older than quarter you know, top prospects typically are.

Just the way things kind of played out.

But for Chambliss, he had a great run with Ole Miss last year, even with Lane Kiffin leaving for LSU, Ole Miss.

A really strong run to the semifinal round.

We'll see what Chambliss and the Rebels can do in 2026.

I mean, he only threw three interceptions last season.

He had almost 4,000 yd passing.

Chambliss is legit, I tell you.

I mean, the question is can his frame handle the rigors of an NFL 17-game schedule and just wait, they're pushing for 18.

That's the question.

If he can, I mean, he's He can be just breathtaking if you're watching him play.

He's a really good athlete.

Had a really good run last year with Ole Miss.

Back in with the Rebels here in 2026.

Jayden Maiava, USC.

I've got him at 220 lb.

Some recent updates have him closer to 230.

He's got good size.

24 touchdowns last year for the Trojans.

65.8 for his the completion rate.

He did have 10 interceptions, so look to clean up a bit as far as the interceptions go, but a lot of potential.

A lot of people are quite bullish on the potential for Jayden Maiava, USC.

Sam Leavitt, LSU.

Transfer from Arizona State.

There was a lot of buzz about Leavitt certain points in the 2025 season.

Injuries kind of derailed things for the Sun Devils.

And it's now Lane Kiffin at LSU.

Lane Kiffin is a masterful recruiter.

A lot of talent lined up down there in Baton Rouge, and that includes Leavitt.

He's a big part of it.

Last year, only 10 touchdowns, three interceptions.

Kind of a limited window as far as what able to see from him last season, but if he can improve his completion percentage, definitely some potential for Leavitt at LSU.

All right, one more player to mention, John Mateer, quarterback, Oklahoma.

With the Sooners, he played through some injuries last year.

And his reward for that is getting his stats docked a bit in some of those games where he was just trying to will his way through it.

The difficulty of being college football player, or player at any level, really, but especially at the college level, you're playing quarterback, you're taking your bumps and bruises.

But, you look back to 2024, Gabriel had 29 touchdowns against just seven interceptions.

So, we'll see what the upcoming season has lined up for the Sooners, but he's a player to keep an eye on that might not be mentioned near some of those top lists, but he's got a chance to make a run with the Sooners in 2026.

So, that's it for this DKDB updates.

I'm your host, Lou Pickney.

Thanks for watching.

Talk to you again soon.

Bye for now.
