My latest 2025 NFL Mock Draft went up today. Perhaps the most noteworthy adjustment was the slide of Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders out of the Top 20, going to the Pittsburgh Steelers at #21.
Yet the whispers out of Pittsburgh have suggested the Steelers might be interested in Alabama QB Jalen Milroe. This appears to be more than idle speculation.
The NFL invited 17 players to this year's draft; last year, there were 13 invitees. Milroe is on that list. So are Georgia safety Malaki Starks and Alabama OL Tyler Booker. None made my most recent mock, yet I anticipate all three having a good shot of being in the mix by the time I lock it in with my final 2025 mock on Wednesday, April 23.
An invitation isn't a guarantee of being a first-round pick, but remember that the NFL Draft is a celebratory event. They only invite players believed to have a good chance of being drafted on night one.
I've done more reading than writing over the past week, particularly from local reporters. But also team fan forums, where sometimes there is legit valuable info regarding team trends/history.
Also, a question that will be asked frequently between now and this time next week...
