Lou's Latest Insight | 2025 Prospects

Lou Pickney's 2025 NFL Mock Draft

1. Tennessee Titans
Cam Ward, QB, Miami

Whether it's the Titans keeping the pick or someone else trading up to #1, all indications at this point suggest that Ward will be the first player selected in the 2025 NFL Draft.

2. Cleveland Browns
Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado

The Browns are paying a heavy price now for taking a big risk on Deshaun Watson in a March 2022 trade with Houston.

Watson's massive contract limits Cleveland's options at quarterback. Those in the know seem to believe strongly that it will be Sanders here.

3. New York Giants
Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State

Talk about the Giants trading up to draft Cam Ward has died down, at least for now. The upside for the Giants is that they'll likely be in position to draft Carter here, an elite pass-rushing talent in a year that is loaded with EDGE prospects.

4. New England Patriots
Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado

The big question for wherever Hunter ends up is: how will he be utilized? It can't be stressed enough how unusual it is for one person to be both the top wide receiver and top cornerback prospect in the same draft, which is how some evaluators see it with Hunter.

Offensive tackle and EDGE rusher are two other viable options here for New England as well.

5. Jacksonville Jaguars
Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State

Warren set school records at Penn State for tight end receptions/yardage and won the 2024 John Mackey Award, given annually to the most outstanding tight end in college football.

6. Las Vegas Raiders
Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State

Jeanty is great at carrying the ball, but he wouldn't be a realistic projection in this range if he weren't also such an adept receiver.

7. New York Jets
Mason Graham, DL, Michigan

Graham is an elite defensive tackle with the ability to effectively collapse pockets on passing plays.

Graham was listed at 320 pounds at Michigan, but he weighed in at 296 pounds at the NFL Combine. This is a positive, as defensive players weighing 320+ pounds seldom go in the top 10 in the modern NFL.

8. Carolina Panthers
Jalon Walker, EDGE/LB, Georgia

If Walker is drafted this high, it will be because of his superb pass-rushing skill and versatility.

9. New Orleans Saints
Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas

At the NFL Combine in Indianapolis, Barron ran a head-turning 4.39 40-yard dash. And there's nothing that appeals to NFL decision-makers quite like ultra high-end speed.

10. Chicago Bears
Armand Membou, OT, Missouri

Evaluators rave about Membou's pass blocking ability, which has proven impressive enough to earn him serious top ten consideration despite lacking prototypical height.

The only way that a 6'4" right tackle ends up as the first offensive lineman drafted is if the team selecting him believes he's the best pass blocker in the class.

11. San Francisco 49ers
Will Campbell, OT, LSU

Campbell is a great mix of size, athleticism, and technical prowess and is expected to be one of the first offensive linemen selected on opening night.

12. Dallas Cowboys
Omarion Hampton, RB, North Carolina

Whispers about Hampton as a first-rounder have been going around for some time. Presuming that Ashton Jeanty goes to the Raiders at #6, Hampton to the Cowboys at #12 makes sense from a need standpoint if Dallas really likes him as much as some believe.

13. Miami Dolphins
Kelvin Banks Jr., OT, Texas

The Dolphins are expected to target offensive line early in the draft. Banks is a tremendous pass blocker.

14. Indianapolis Colts
Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan

Tight end is a major need for the Colts. The success that Raiders TE Brock Bowers had as a rookie last season (112 receptions for 1,194 yards) clearly has had an impact on the decision-making process for some teams.

15. Atlanta Falcons
Will Johnson, CB, Michigan

There are some unknowns with Johnson relative to the turf toe injury that ended his 2024 season early.

16. Arizona Cardinals
Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia

Part of the appeal of Williams as a prospect is his ability to fit multiple schemes effectively.

17. Cincinnati Bengals
Shemar Stewart, EDGE, Texas A&M

If the Bengals hope to land an EDGE at this spot, they should have several viable options from which to choose. Stewart has been rising up draft boards during the pre-draft evaluation process and it's entirely possible he'll be gone well before Cincinnati goes on the clock.

18. Seattle Seahawks
Tyler Booker, OL, Alabama

Booker can play multiple offensive line positions, but projects strongest at guard. Some evaluators view Booker as the top interior offensive lineman in this draft.

19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Mike Green, EDGE, Marshall

This is a stacked draft for pass rushers. Green has been rising up boards and helped his stock with a strong showing in practice at the Senior Bowl.

20. Denver Broncos
Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona

Evaluators have praised McMillan's catch radius and ability to adjust on the fly to get open.

21. Pittsburgh Steelers
Maxwell Hairston, CB, Kentucky

By running a blistering 4.28 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, Hairston vaulted himself into serious first-round consideration. It helps that Hairston has the versatility to fit a variety of defensive schemes.

22. Los Angeles Chargers
Donovan Ezeiruaku, EDGE, Boston College

Ezeiruaku collected a jaw-dropping 16.5 sacks in 2024, tying a school record. There's also a perception among some evaluators that Ezeiruaku is more well-polished than other comparable prospects at the position.

23. Green Bay Packers
Matthew Golden, WR, Texas

By running a 4.29 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, Golden put himself in serious consideration to be a first-round draft selection.

24. Minnesota Vikings
Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina

You have to go back to Terrell Edmunds (217 pounds) in 2018 for the last time a pure safety weighing north of 215 pounds went in the first round. It used to be more commonplace, but the game has changed.

It's different for Emmanwori because he's exceptionally fast. How many guys with his height/weight (6'3" 220) can run a 4.38 40-yard dash?

25. Houston Texans
Walter Nolen, DT, Ole Miss

Nolen was the top-rated overall prospect by ESPN and USA Today out of high school, and he performed well for Ole Miss in 2024 after transferring from Texas A&M.

Nolen has the effort/intensity to match his talent, and if he's able to improve his pass-rushing technique his potential as a pro is strong.

26. Los Angeles Rams
Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State

Simmons suffered a serious knee injury in 2024, but he's expected to be ready for the 2025 season.

27. Baltimore Ravens
James Pearce Jr., EDGE, Tennessee

Pearce is an elite blitzer and is well-rounded against the run. He's also effective at dropping into pass coverage when needed.

28. Detroit Lions
Derrick Harmon, DT, Oregon

Harmon gained national attention thanks to his outstanding play at defensive tackle for the Ducks, showing a knack for pressuring opposing QBs.

29. Washington Commanders
Jayden Higgins, WR, Iowa State

Jayden Daniels is off to a great start at quarterback for the Commanders, and it would be a prudent move for Washington to select a top receiver prospect if there's an opportunity at this spot.

30. Buffalo Bills
Kenneth Grant, DT, Michigan

Grant weighed in at 331 pounds at the NFL Combine. Normally I'd say to fade the nose tackle on night one, but Grant has unusual athleticism for his size.

31. Kansas City Chiefs
Josh Conerly Jr., OT, Oregon

Kansas City could use help on its offensive line. There's a good mix of perceived value and team need here with Conerly.

32. Philadelphia Eagles
Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama

Congrats on the Super Bowl win, Eagles fans.

Campbell would provide Philadelphia with a nice boost to its defensive front seven.
